'New Elizabethan' Face Chart Design- Design Process

Here is a contemporary Elizabethan look I created on a face chart using only my make up and brushes! I think this design has been done with care and thought but I would of liked it to be  more detailed. I need to improve on getting the facial structures in properly by sculpting the face.

The main part I like about this face chart is the Lips, I was inspired to do these style lips from a Make up artist called Karla Powell, she runs a 'color run lip series' and regularly posts images onto instagram of her work and other peoples work she has inspired.
I did however, reference back to the Elizabethan era when the women would have red lips, I then put a 'Karla Powell' contemporary twist on this by doing a red and black lip in a ombre style which I think works well and still is identifiable by a viewer.

Here is the image I used for inspiration. Image viewed 3/11/14 Artist- Karla Powell- Publisher- Instagram/KarlaPowellMUA. Image available at www.instagram.com/karlapowellmua

Face Chart 1- This is my first design which to me, references the Elizabethan era. Due to the background of the paper being white it was hard for me to show exactly how I wanted this to look.
The 'Triangles' are me experimenting with different shades on the face and I encorperated this to reference the era. Inside my triangles will be White eyes, white eye lashes and no brows! but anything outside of those triangles will be modern. My lips are ombre which is kind of a new trend within the industry at the moment and this was inspired by a MUA called Karla Powell. I will use the colour red with this lip application to reference the Elizabethan era.

This is my second face chart design split in two halves. One side modern and the other masked by the Elizabethan Era. My whole idea for this face chart came from remembering parts of films I have watched based on Queen Elizabeth and I have noticed she hides her true self behind what she would ideally like to be as a ruler of this great country. For her people she is head strong, a ruler and to some a complete liability but behind closed doors shes sad, unsure of herself and with the whole world staring at her for guidance during dark times she had to wear this 'Mask'
I have created a face chart of a modern, up to date version of what a woman would ideally like to look like today, Strong facial features, wow brows, bold lips and long lashes.. but this ideal beauty is masked.. That's the other side of my design, the cracks beginning to show and the design takes a darker turn, turning sad and becoming something, someone else wants her to be,
Which is what, quite often Elizabeth was told. The white face, white brows and eyelashes all reference Elizabeth and the red lips also.

Mood board of inspiration for my 'New Elizabethan'
I have decided I want to do a high fashion style make up that reflects the Elizabethan era. These images will aid me in deciding my final look.
