'Your task is to find different locations that may be of use to you throughout the next year. Once found you are then required to take a 'SELFIE' outside of the location using your phone camera and upload them to your new sketch blog. Please remember to write a short sentence or two about the locations, were they difficult to find? 

Locations- West Quay Shopping Centre
                - The Mayflower Theatre
                - Southampton City Art Gallery

                  
                 
[Southampton City Art Gallery is a beautiful historic building home to not only the art gallery but the
Seacity museum, the city library and council offices. Using maps this place was very easy to find and its located within walking distance of Solent uni!]


                   
[I already knew where West Quay was before i had this exercise given to me, mostly due to my bad habits of shopping. West Quay is located in the heart of the city surrounded by high street shops, an Asda superstore and retail park. West quay currently has over 100 shops and restaurants including John Lewis, Karen Millen and Levi.]


                 


                 
[The Mayflower theatre was the most difficult location to find, situated down a quiet road just near Southampton City Art Gallery. The Mayflower theatre is currently (01/10/14) holding a number of shows such as; The Body Guard and Cinderella staring Gok Wan!]

*During your visit to the West Quay Shopping Centre, you are required to visit the following make up brands and ask about their 'Hero Product/Best seller' 
  Brands 
- MAC Cosmetics
- Smashbox
- Benefit
- Laura Mercier
 - Bobbi Brown


Benefit

Top selling products are; High Beam, Porefessional and Its Potent! eyecream.
Benefit have a very girly, boho chic design to their counters. As soon as you see one of their counters you assume they are targeting teenage girls, however Benefit have quite a diverse target audience 
ranging from 16-50 year old's. 


Laura Mercier

Top selling products are; Smooth Finish flawless fluide, Translucent powder and secret concealer.
Laura Mercier is a very sophisticated brand that oozes natural beauty rather than Hollywood glam. I would say that Laura Mercier's target audience would be 20-60 year old's

Bobbi Brown

Top selling products are; Extra eye repair cream, Creamy concealer kit and Long wear gel liner. 
Bobbi Brown is again, like Laura Mercier a more sophisticated make up brand. I would say Bobbi Brown's target audience would be around 20-60 year old's. 

MAC-
Top selling products are; Studio Fix Fluid Foundation, Ruby Woo Lipstick, All That Glitters or Carbon Eye Shadow.
MAC is one of the most well known consumer and professional brands available. Their sleek black counters is picturesque department stores draw you in. I would say MACS target audience would be 16-40 year old's.

Smash Box-
Top Selling Products are; Photo finish primer, Limitless eyeliner in Onyx, Lip Enhancing gloss in Illume. 
Smash Box are another brand similar to those such as MAC and Benefit. I would say their target audience is 15-45 year old's.
